Mankatha - Parallel story telling

An article about parallel story telling has been published in Coimbatore times today (May-04-2011). It is specified that Mankatha might have a parallel way of story telling similar to "Vaanam","Ayutha Ezhutu" and "Saroja". A young filmmaker in Tamil, who is all set to do a film on the same pattern said, "The format of multiple storylines criss-crossing is nothing new; it will work if you make multi-starrers. I hear that Ajith sir's Mankatha too has a similar style of story telling. The introduction of assorted characters gives us an opportunity to rope many saleable stars. Such films may have a limited appeal, but in the long run, it will catch on".
